Things are looking up for ice fishing.
Reports are Mamette is fishing well with pink shrimp and krill for trout to 2 lbs. The regulars are getting limits. Watch and learn when out there. There is apparently 6+ inches on Mamette as of Tuesday.
The Kane Valley lakes are also fishing well, or not depending where on the lake you are for brook trout. Yum.
On Nicola Lake a worm or shrimp under a bobber is still producing from shore for several of our intrepid anglers.
It looks like most of the mid elevation and higher lakes are good to go.
Please remember to check the ice before going out.
My grand daughter is coming up from the warm south for Christmas and we will be introducing her to ice fishing. She has been asking to use her Tinkerbell rod with Poppi as of late. I can’t wait. The only thing that would make it better is if my grandson can make it up as well.
Tight lines ( And straight shooting )
